If a company wants to really be very successful nowadays, there is really no choice for them – they have to get themselves a website and an onlineshop. I really don’t think that a store would be able to survive for very long without one, because so much shopping is done online at the moment, and also because a website gives the company a large amount of free publicity and exposure. In fact, even my tiny little local shop has a website! I suppose an added complication is the fact that the goods have to be organised and posted out to the online customers, but that’s really not a big deal at all – especially considering that it means you are making lots of sales and therefore money! Another difficulty is that customers can’t try on the garments that they’re buying to make sure that they fit – however, I don’t think that this will affect the popularity of online sales very much at all.
